Look, lookseeclick.

Two weeks ago I let people guess which tatt/s were going to be done that day, and fellow blipper lookseeclick wanted to see my sleeve started. It wasn't done that day, but I booked in to get it started in a month from now. Buuuut, as a birthday present ahead of my 25th next Saturday, we got the sleeve started today.

This design is about my family. We're not the most functional family. So this relates to relaxing and enjoying the good times while they're there, but keeping my guard up in case things go belly up again. In two weeks we're adding more - working the first initials of my mother and three brothers into the water pattern, and extending the rest down my arm as much as time allows.

This sleeves was in planning over a year ago, but it never ended up being started for various reasons. It is very fitting to be starting it now, with the recent horrifying assault on my 16 year old brother that left him hospitalised in a critical condition. Gladly, he is now off that critical list, and is now considered serious still. There's not been anything to report for a little while, but he is doing well, all things considered.

Adding to that making it the right time to get this family related tattoo, and this being a slightly early birthday present, my brother's 17th birthday is the day before my 25th.

It all just fits.
