The Mermaid

Having dropped Pete off at the Nigg yard at 7am I had the rest of the day to explore.
The coast of Easter Ross sculpture trail seemed like a good idea.
This bronze Mermaid is by an artist called Steve Hayward and she is located on the beach of one of the seaboard villages of Balintore.
I also saw the Nigg Stone at Old Nigg Church, and went for a walk along the coastline, through some bluebell woods and generally walked my boots off. It was such a good day !
Picked Pete up at 17.15 , arrived home 23.45. Hard core eh !
