Another Languedoc year...

Value for money

I'm tickled pink with these geraniums. I bought three large specimens for 3.90 euros each a couple of weeks ago and took eighteen cuttings from them before I planted them in pots by the pool.

After removing all the largest leaves I dipped each cutting into rooting compound before planting it in cuttings compost. I left them for three days without water to encourage them to develop roots. Each day I misted the leaves to prevent moisture loss and kept them in the greenhouse. After three days I gave them some water from the bottom.

All eighteen have taken and are doing well. I now have twenty one plants for 11.70 euros. Now that's great value for money.
