Sergeant Crag Slabs

Another trip to the Lakes for the day with another (cold) but good forecast. Pauline, Neil, Scott and I had a fantastic day climbing at Sergeant Slabs which is a mega venue, brilliant lines.

Scott and I did the two HVSs which were excellent, then I had a bumble up Holy Bush Crack with obligatory battle with Holy Bush, psyched as well for the first onsight E1 of the year, good way to start and feeling confident and fluid now which is nice, and then Scott shot up Aphasia for the flash which was absolutely awesome, tiring on the feet though, especially this early in the season!

A cracking day topped off with a visit to a very poor crag which shall remain nameless where Scott I decided to do some minor trundling, and Pauline was heard to be calling the route "horrid, horrid, horrid"!

The best shot is of Scott on Aphasia shot by Neil, LL is shot by Pauline and gets me belaying Scott being shot by Neil, LR is a hill on the walk out with some frost still on it (even though we climbed in t-shirts for most of the day). Good venue choice makes such a massive difference!
