Squatter

I discovered an intact bird's nest in the willows as I was walking around the Arcata Marsh this afternoon. Seeing as it's baby-making season, I went in for a closer look to see if it was inhabited. It was, in fact--but not in the manner I had anticipated. Instead of an expectant mother bird I found this tree frog! I was a bit perplexed at why a live frog would be perched in a bird's nest...it must have just been coincidence. Little did he realize he was sleeping in the lion's den.

This may be my last blip for a spell (or not)...I am leaving for the farm and I do not know about the internet situation. Off into the unknown!
