Gorgeously Gallus

Today's blip entry was taken in the square beside the National Gallery of Scotland on the Mound. I'm not sure what was going on but I think it may have had something to do with the Beltane Fire Festival which takes place this coming Monday on Calton Hill.

The square was buzzing with energy and there were people dressed in red and some in white, people on stilts and some fantastic hypnotic drumming but this statuesque and wonderful creature being held aloft stood out amongst them all and I'm sure you'll agree she looks more than a little gallus!

Here's hoping that Monday's celebrations will bring us all a simply superb summer!
