Open Day.....

.........at Scottish Opera.

Went on a tour at Scottish Opera which was fabulous! We met Kelvin who paints the backdrops for the operas. This is one for 'The Rakes's Progress'. He is given a drawing on a piece of A3 paper and he has to transfer it on to canvas which is 17m x 8m. He paints and then climbs the very big stepladder to see how he is getting on. He was such a self-effacing chap. His work is amazing!

The costume department was also very entertaining! We giggled at the signs on boxes:

Bodies and bust flatteners
Gents white and cream tights and stockings
Unitards.


Camera update:- camera is totally kaput!
Good news-Mr Q bought me a new one!
