Changing Mat

H stayed over at Granny's house last night so it was a quiet house this morning. Phoned the doctors for O as he has been having bowel/wind problems which are clearly causing him distress recently, and we found some blood in his nappy yesterday which was concerning. The doctor didn't seem unduly concerned and suggested giving him cooled boiled water to clear what sounded like a blockage/constipation. Getting him to drink water is easier said than done.

O seems to really like being on the changing mat and likes to lie there taking everything in around him. It's probably because he spends so much time on it though - sometimes we have 10 dirty nappies a day. Although it sounds a bit contradictory, it's because of the constipation (TMI - it's a blockage meaning that he is constantly forcing out smaller or runnier poos rather than clearing himself out).

In the afternoon we went to Silverburn for a shopping trip but didn't really get very far as I was in too much discomfort - really not recovering well at all! I bought a couple of things for O and H and had coffee and cake at M&S. I was going to collect H from her Granny's but was too tired for the drive so hubby fetched her after he finished work. Sounds like she had a great time - lots of fun at soft play as usual.
