Pure Joy

Piranha fishing! And Chris was ecstatic- until our guide refused to help him get fish off the hook anymore. He spent a long time trying to get the hook out of the eye socket. It was long and messy and really made me fear for this future doctor's patients. But eventually he was successful and later in the evening we had an awesome meal of toothy, bony fish. They're very tasty.

We saw an abundance of birds out on the river- great black hawk, ringed kingfisher, egrets, yellow billed cardinals, and the annoyingly loud Brazilian samba bird. Lots of wildlife to see! Lots of heat and mosquitoes to endure.
