Fuzzy!

Oh what an absolutely beautiful day we had today!! The sun shone all day. It was so very pleasant. Spent time in the garden this morning. Just me and my camera. I just love my macro lens. Now I need a really good tripod and head. It is so fun to get up close and personal with my subject. Today's critter, whose space I invaded, is this fuzzy caterpillar. Wooly Bear Caterpillar I think they are really called. These guys take me back to my childhood. I remember caterpillar nests EVERYWHERE! We played in the woods a lot and there were nests in all the trees. AND, fuzzy caterpillars were everywhere. Now? Hardly see them at all. The nests nor the caterpillars :( There were a few of them climbing on the porch today. I'm sure they eat stuff in my garden but I'm not that concerned as there is lots in the garden and there really aren't very many caterpillars. I will still keep my eye on them! I'm more worried about the deer and the havoc they are on my Japanese Maples!!! Getting some deer yuck stuff to spray on them...
I was torn with posting Mr. Fuzzy or my frog I discovered yesterday! I went out looking for him today and there he was!!! sunning himself under the fern fronds. He is just so adorable! I have named him Toby. I'm just wondering what he planned on doing with that fir needle on his back???

I want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all the nice comments on my frog photo yesterday!! And, the hearts??? So very much appreciated. I know there are few to give and it warms my heart to be given one. Thank you
