EIDERS DOWN!

An unexpected blipmeet this morning. There were some wild and spectacular waves breaking over the Heugh breakwater. It was cold and very windy and the only other intrepid soul I spotted turned out to be Kath, braced against a big sign to avoid getting blown over. On my way back, on the sheltered shore I spotted this group of eiders, sleeping through it all!

Weider! (In large view you can just spot a fisherman at the end of the pier. I hope he had gloves and a flask of something hot!)
