The Rookery

Felicity and I checked into the Rookery last night as the rain hammered down. It is a little boutique hotel in Clerkenwell, and proved to be a welcome retreat in the middle of London.

As I write this we sit on a bench on the banks of the lake in St James' park, digesting afternoon tea from the Chesterfield hotel in Mayfair. The sun has briefly reared its head and a walk along the South Bank is in order before we head home.
