Morning of First Wedding Anniversary

........ which was at The Canadian Artisans Luxury Bed and Breakfast in Canmore, Alberta, which is near Banff.

The couple who owned it built the wonderful house themselves and the attention to detail was superb. It was set at the edge of a forest, and we were wakened one morning by the howling of a coyote (she did warn us we might). The owner knew it was our anniversary, so she dressed the breakfast table to celebrate it, with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plates and scattered little things around the table.

We went for a massage later on it the afternoon and after that, lying on the bed I fell asleep and woke up 9 hours later. So much for a romantic 1st anniversary evening. I think my hubby of 1 year watched a dvd of the Da Vinci Code while I slept like a baby!
