Iris

An iris from my neighbor's yard. I know the old joke that "all the close-up flower photos have been taken", but the brownish color and huge blooms of this plant were irresistible. Richard and I did some work in my own yard this afternoon, too - we planted a hydrangea bush, which I've wanted for a good while now, and a row of irises.
