Birthday Girl

My ex-wife's mother is 91 today and I have been invited to a small party. There is a cake with 5 candles that Lillian manages to blow out in two blows. She basks in the warmth of the people around her and the conversations in the room.

I needed this. I have just had a very fractious meeting and so it is good to be around "normal" people who help normalise my mood. As I put this on the web it is 2 days later and I am still angry when I wake up. More normalisation is needed. But it is a sunny day outside. "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord" as the saying goes. I am alive. I seem to be healthy. The sun is shining. There is much to be thankful for.
