riding while the city sleeps

it was my first night ride of the season last night so the bike stayed outside and i made a big effort to get up on the first alarm.
i was out of the house by 6.25 and the climb was over by 6.45.

i sat at the top for a while and looked out across the peaceful scene below, until i saw the next rain shower heading my way. it chased me to work but didn't catch me.

the stags are getting ready for the rut. there was some serious barking [?] going on this morning
