for want of shoes

Mr Eco-dad's blip-suggestion had disappeared by the time I got round to going out to look for something this evening after forgetting to go past it on the way home. Something I've been ignoring for a while wasn't there even though it was entirely the wrong time of day to get it. Didn't have the big tripod with me and have become slightly de-attuned to the little one and was vaguely worried about looking suspicious crouching down at the end of a cul-de-sac at night with a camera next to a nursery.
