Bealach na Bà
B and I spent the morning touring round some of the amazing scenery of Skye.
Before heading home we went to Bealach na Bà, which is a pass through the mountains of the Applecross peninsula, and the name of a twisting, single-track mountain road.
The road has extremely tight hairpin bends, gradients that approach 20%, and has the greatest ascent of any road climb in the UK, rising from sea level at Applecross to 626 metres (2,054 ft).
B wanted to cycle down this road and then back up it - I hung around at the top instead (valuing my life and all) and took some shots of the magnificent view.
