Nature week - white bluebell with bug
Took our group down to Rydal Water today to start in Doras field on Bluebells (which come in blue, pink and white variants) and sundry bugs. Due to the cold weather lately, a distinct lack of butterflies, although we did see an orange tip. Two guests managed shots of a roe deer as well. We relocated to the edge of Rydal for damselflies, but again the recent cold weather has stopped spring in it's traxks. Wierd to think that last year by this time the bluebells were all but finished - this year they're only starting to come out. Good flora today, but a distinct lack of living creatures.
If the weather stays good, Wednesday should see us visit Leigton Moss bird reserve, so the BIG lenses can come out!
This shot is a 17 shot focus stack - I needed the background to remain soft, but wanted the whole of the flower and the bug in focus.
