Bee My Honey Tonight
OK, the honey from this bee won't be ready to consume tonight, but maybe later ... lol.
Today has been a glorious day here in Norfolk -it's Beltane, so tomorrow's theoretically the first day of summer - here's hoping this has been a taste of things to come!
I took a walk around the front grounds of County Hall for my lunch-break, camera at the ready. As many have observed, this year there are Dandelions aplenty, and the grass in County Hall grounds is amass with them - it looks beautiful. Of course, there are also insects feasting on their nectar too, so I had no problem finding suitable blips. This one proved the best of the shots I took. Unfortunately the subject I'd really have liked to use for my blip was a disappointment - I found a brown Shield-bug on one of the Dandelions! It patiently ignored me whilst I took several shots of it, but the brisk wind where it was thwarted my attempts to get a decent in-focus shot. I'm SO disappointed :(( I'm going back again tomorrow though in the hopes of spotting another one in a less exposed postion. Wish me luck!
