Not reticulation

I was told by a South African lady that garden irrigation is referred to as reticulation in her homeland (and I think Australia too) because it is made up into a network of pipes.
I only have one pipe and one sprinkler... so I'm more into linearation perhaps?
I'm encouraging my newly-seeded lawn here - the budget didn't stretch to turf.
