Bridge at Bridge of Orchy

Glen Orchy leads from Dalmally to Bridge of Orchy and today was the perfect day to see the Glen in all its glory.
The sun danced on the magical rock formations. The melting snow-
peaked mountains (on the cusp of the local elections) reminded me of the Great Thaw in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
But most of all I loved meeting a man from Low Blantyre (now Hull) who was camping next to a babbling burn with his Alsatian Dog. His tent had a Saltire and a Lion Rampart outside.
He was cheerie - but scunnered with wind turbines.
This bridge is the remnant of a forestry route and is one of only two places to cross the River Orchy.
I had a fine Cup of tea and taste of Shortbread in the Bridge of Orchy Hotel with Anne, Joe and Andrew while discussing the villages potential. However abundant the area might be - everything is brought to a grinding stop due to the lack of a good quality sustainable water supply. Yes, it is 2012.
