Stairway To Heaven?

The spires of Omagh's Sacred Heart Catholic Church soar over the Northern Irish town. Notice the ladder on the left tower extending right to the cross at the top? Is this the Stairway to Heaven? I wondered. No, a companion replied, it was the path local sinners took on their final journey to Hell. Being neither a Catholic nor a sinner, I felt totally unqualified to comment
