What is it?

I know you are probably wondering what on earth this is. I was asking myself the same question the other day when my grandmother handed this to me. Apparently it's supposed to be a lamp. The lamp parts have to be replaced and the dead plants inside have to be removed first. She wants to fill it with sea shells. That's great, but I think she forgot about the giant hole in the side. She is a one of a kind woman. She's the same person who gave me this Easter card. You never know what to expect with her! :)
