River Derwent in Derby

I only need to do a few minutes lunchtime walking from our office on the soulless Pride Park business park to find a moderately pleasant walk along the River Derwent. If I ignore the football stadium right behind me I could almost imagine I was in the countryside instead of right in the middle of Derby.

Today the river was particularly impressive after a month of heavy rains. I had never seen the water level here so high or the current so fast.
