Pair o' Cranes

We've noticed this pair of Sand Hill Cranes every morning for a couple of days. They must have a nest near the bog as they're in our fields between sunrise and 6:30. In doing a bit of research on them, we'll know if little ones are on the way if we notice only one feeding. The other will be guarding the nest. How fun! Little Sand Hill Cranes to observe.

This latest bout of rain has really brought the wildlife out into the fields. We've noticed a nice mature buck, these cranes and multipe geese. These are the days that I'm happy to live in the country.
