Good Helpers

Today Heloise, the interns, and I went out to the Thandolwetu crèche to tear out their ragtag fence and set posts for a new one. Since there were ten of us, it only took two hours to dig the holes and level and cement 15 posts, and tomorrow morning the group will return minus me to put up the fence itself.

We didn't exchange many words, but these girls were especially cute and followed me around giggling for most of the afternoon. They did a really good job supervising the babies while the principal helped us work (who have a tendency to sneak out of the crèche and take their clothes off at every opportunity) and even cleaned boogers and changed a few diapers. I wish I could go back to see them in the morning, but tomorrow it's back to bank statements for me.
