A Mackerel sky

I dont like filters or photoshop as this distorts the image and makes reading the clouds impossible. This one might however have had a makeover to add a little more blue and contrast. Sorry! Mackerel sky comes with moisture and instability in the upper atmosphere. It sums up our turbulent spring and the vanishing predictability of the weather.
