Path to the open spaces of Big Moor and White Edge

Moorland on a grey day is a challenge for photography. I make no claims about this as a photograph, other than it does maybe give some sense of setting out into the wide open spaces and fresh air. It's just the sort of place I love, and this will do for capturing a memory of being able to get out there today. The little path is a joy to walk. It was dull and it was windy, with a little bit of rain, but to me it was all simply grand. There are now some hints of fresh green coming through for the new season, but the green season is short up on the moors. There were lots of interesting looking lichens higher up, and they are staring to intrigue me more and more.
