The Nine Lives of a Building
Drive-in restaurants with roller-skating waitresses have long been a thing of the past (with the exception of the retro Sonic restaurant chain) but this building still survives (the previous tenant was also a Mexican restaurant and I haven't found out yet what the original drive-in was).
The very small Mexican restaurant has five small tables inside and the outdoor picnic tables during nice weather. You must order inside at the window and you may watch one of the cooks make tortillas by hand. Excellent food and a very friendly family. Some books can't be judged by their covers :-)
My son and I write a small restaurant review blog and this place will be coming up next when I can get more history. Cheers to you and good eating!
