Le Louvre!

This morning we got up early (feeling a little bit headachey, it was 6am UK time to be fair) and headed to the Louvre early to try and miss the queue. We were pretty successful, and found that we got in free due to being under 26. A quick visit to the Mona Lisa, then a few hours wandering round the African and Asian art as well as quite a lot of French Renaissance art. Plus the obligatory poses outside!

We strolled through the Jardin de Tuileries to the Place de la Concorde, then down the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe in the daylight. This also included stopping off for lunch and coffees, and we climbed to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to take in the view (for free).

Afterwards we headed back to the hotel and then out to a local bar for happy hour and mojitos and finally dinner...I had duck a l'orange and tarte tatin...very French!!!
