A Year in the USA
So...my year over here in Kennebunk, Maine is (unfortunately) during to an end. This end being dragged out, has brought me to thinking about my life over here and how I will be when I get home.
For university, I have had to complete a year long placement, and excitedly, I chose The White Barn Inn & Spa, Relais & Chateaux property. I have completed training in the Inn itself and in the 5 Diamond, 5 Star White Barn Inn Restaurant, famous for Chef Cartwright's 'Steamed Maine Lobster on a Homemade Bed of Fettucine and Cognac Coral Butter Sauce'
Undoubtedly, the experience has had its ups AND downs, more ups though. I have met some truly, amazing and inspiring people, that make me want to come back and visit, which I plan on doing in the not too distant future.
I've also had the opportunity for family and my boyfriend to visit. People wonder 'How do you do it?' but, I think that we have all grown together and all our relationships are stronger and better.
I'm sure more thoughts will come to me as I think about things in more depth, but for now, it's time to enjoy the rest of my time here :)
