Who Me?!
This is the after shot of Miss Ella, aka "bad girl". She may look innocent here, but a couple of hours earlier she had me in tears after panic wore off. To be fair, she did good in her separation room today. When I got home, she was so full of excitement & needed to go, so I put on the retractable leash & took her to the backyard. She pulls strongly on her leash, & yanked the handle from my hand, immediately taking off through the neighbors' yards like a horse on a race track. I was screaming her name & "come", despite the fact she obviously hasn't learned much of that command yet. If not for the handle catching playground equipment, I wouldn't have got her back. I never ran so fast. By the time we got inside, I started to lose it, crying & wondering what would have happened if Hannah had been the one walking her. She'd live with that forever. My husband came home & took her outside to work again on her heeling (which he started last evening). She did great with him. I'm too emotional & scared of being harsh to gain that respect, but things have to change.
