Fractured

As I was "removing" my disability placard "before moving my vehicle" today, it snapped and broke right off at the point where it hangs. I thought about going straight to the MVD office but I needed to stop home for water and while on my way, picked up my mail.

What an odd coincidence. In the mail was a notice of expiration and renewal instructions for my placard. It expires at the end of May 2012. It's just something of which you never take notice.

I took the form to get notarized and mailed it right away. Until I get my new one, I'll just lay the broken one on the dashboard.

I'm still on a high from my Michelle Obama experience yesterday. I didn't think I'd ever have anything top seeing Hillary Clinton when she was running for the US Senate. Throw in Congresswoman Gabby Giffords...a Democratic woman's dream...thrilling.
