Maltese Immigrants blip #2
This morning I went down to the Port of Fremantle, once again for an early morning coffee.
My photo today is of part of the memorial to Maltese Immigrants.
As early as 1938, attempts were made to include child migrants from Malta in the Australian immigration schemes.
As I mentioned in an earlier blip on the memorial, huge hardships were endured but benefits were derived.
We can count ourselves fortunate to have benefited from much these young adventures have brought to our Country.
