Croton (?)

This plant has been growing on our kitchen windowsill for some years. The light shines through it and although the leaves are colourful, it has a very long, bare stem, and sometimes I think it should go!
However, it is very forgiving and withstands the sun and occasional lack of water. I was just playing around with my camera while we were having a cup of tea. A busy day, out and about, and then I choose something very familiar to blip!
