world in a grain of sand

Alex at the window

I visited this house - mid Victorian, I think, with Ithaca and two other colleagues to have a look at the extent of refurbishment it needs, but mainly, if we're honest, because we thought it would make a great location for a photo shoot. I think it did, with the light filtered through the dusty windows, some of the rooms with exposed lath and plaster, some with amazing wall paper. The lovely house has so much potential, it's just waiting to be lovingly restored.

It was great fun! Alex, our model was the most relaxed photo subject I've ever seen, and was infinitely patient with the "stand there" "no, not there, there" nature of the event. It made a good break in the working day, yesterday I just stayed at my screen which is not very refreshing.

Last time Ithaca and I photographed together we ended up posting virtually the same shot. We have a pact not to look at the other's journal till we've posted, I wonder if we'll make the same choice this time?
