Beach Party

Went out walking later than usual as LargoLad and I were going off to Edinburgh - we have a season ticket at the Lyceum Theatre. This afternoon was the last play in the season "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" by Martin McDonagh. I try to read the plays in advance and although I had a good understanding of what it was all about I was not quite prepared for the brutality. Several people left early but to my surprise those who stuck it out seemed to enjoy it and even found it funny. Directors notes "A wickedly funny, dark comedy, with a great turn of phrase" - sorry can't agree it was a really horrible play.

Have spent the last half hour cheering myself up and looking at the pics from our beach walk this morning at Ruby Bay near Elie. The dogs had great fun and I think Jess's face tells the story.
