mama, but no nest

We went to our local pond today to look for baby geese or ducklings, but found none. The male red-winged blackbirds were singing up a storm so I hoped to find a nest, no luck there either. But I did notice this female red-winged trying to blend in. And I guess that is why I didn't see any nests, because the females are dressed in camo to blend in when they are stuck sitting on a nest. Such a Grand Design!
