Church detail
In our village we have a community organisation called "Learning for Pleasure". The concept behind this initiative is that there are many skills and talents in our community that can be shared with others. The current subjects include Art, Sewing, Photography, Singing, Indoor Croquet, Table Tennis, Play reading, Trees or the legendary Ernest Shackleton.
I have run the basic photography sessions for the last 6 years. My current group consist of 10 Mums and Grandmothers ranging in age from early 30s to 70+. Last September many of them could just about turn their cameras on. However, they staged exhibitions of their images at Christmas and Easter that were very enthusiastically received in the village.
Today was a practical session so together with nine of my group we spent a couple of hours in our local church trying to capture "masterpieces". It was an opportunity for them to explore the mysteries of various menu items and settings. And I'm looking forward to seeing the result of their endeavours. My blip today is from that session.
