Leadenhall Market (aka Diagon Alley)

Brrrr... the wind is whistling around the flat and we're definitely starting to feel the want of hibernation.

F and I went for a walk around the City of London today. It's funny walking around the area on a Saturday - most parts are like a ghost town with rubbish rolling like modern-day tumbleweed down the empty streets. All the shops are dark and shut and there are very few people about. We ducked into alleyways and eventually found ourselves at Leadenhall Market, which is a wonderful Victorian covered market, built in 1881. As a film set, it became Diagon Alley, where Harry Potter bought his wand before heading off to Hogwarts.
