Oyez! Oyez! Oyez!

This is the window of my hairdresser's where I went this evening for a haircut (I think it may have been six months since my last visit!). Following a long and tiring day it was a pleasure to hear the words, "Would you like a glass of wine while you have your hair cut?". I'll leave you to guess my reply ;)

Anyway, it appears that Haslemere is hosting a town crier competition on Monday. Town criers are coming from far and wide to compete for the coveted Tennyson Trophy. Unfortunately I won't be able to go along due to a prior commitment, but I'll be listening out for them :)
