The High Pond

I have hardly coughed for nearly a week so must be getting better but the U3A geology field trips are looming and my fitness level is still too low for scrambling around looking at rocks.

So we were back walking in the Penicuik House estate, heading for the walled gardento see the progress made that RomaWhaup has blipped. We had a nice chat with Mitch (who was hoping some other volunteers would arrive soon) then, with directions from friendly residents, made our way to the high pond and walked all round it, returning to the car by the main  drive.

It is a lovely place to walk, I expect we'll be there again before too long.
