Patrona

By patrona

Being possessed of a sober and temperate disposition, I do not often frequent sites of alcoholic excess and debauchery.

However today I break my habit of a lifetime to introduce you to the wonder that is the The Dome

The conspicuous opulence of this former banking hall, the flamboyance of the decoration and the soaring wonder of the fluted columns give a sense of occasion to a quick pint, which I suppose is the point.

If temperance is to be set aside then this must be the place to make that sacrifice, as nowhere can sum up the vulgar excesses of banking or drinking establishments in better fashion than here.
