The ongoing cushion .......

I have been making this cushion cover for a chair for what seems like years. It began three years ago with a patchwork using bits of fabric that I have saved over the past 40 years, including a small piece from my bridesmaids' dresses and a part of the curtains in our first house.
With this dull weather I thought I would cheer myself up and get out my sewing machine and finally assemble the cover. It's going quite well and I am looking forward to seeing and sitting on the end result!
My daughter gave me these colourful heart pins and they are lovely to use. They are stuck in a pretty pin cushion made by a friend. Sewing always does the trick and I feel like carrying on for hours. However, other things to do today!
