Purple

Today, we were taken to the Rwanda Genocide Memorial. Inside are display's of the story. Videos interviewing survivors, and what they saw happen to people the knew and loved. Also a room with hundreds of photos of people who died, given by their families. In another room were bones, and belongings. and another part.. the part i found the hardest to take in was dedicated to the kids who had been killed. There were massive pictures of the children, and a plaque with a discription of who they were, what they liked, their character etc, and at the bottom, how they were killed... i'm not going to go into details, but being a mother, i cannot even imagine how their parents felt.
Truly harrowing stories.
So much to get my head round.
