Up until this day I was contemplating entering paragliding competitions. The scary experience of being in 'control' of a glorified duvet cover in turbulent air put me off the idea for good.

From log book:
Blorenge. Airman XC11. Hazy day. Forecast NW but was ESE. Got into thermal up to around 800' and almost shit myself in horrific turbulence. Wind then went NW and strong. Sea breeze effects?
