Domestic duties

Today I woke up at 8:00 and one of the first thoughts that came to my head was: "I really should clean the kitchen cabinets today...and the oven too..."
Pretty weird, I know! And on a Saturday morning when I could happily be doing nothing at all!

But even though I've done my best to shake this off with a long breakfast and some quality time in front of the computer, I still have this urge to clean the kitchen. See what Spring and all it's bright sunshine can do to you?!
So now I have the kitchen curtains spinning in the washer and I'm thinking about the best way to clean oven racks with the least amount of effort and also without poisoning myself and the environment - any suggestions?
