Monster Ship

We took the evening ferry from Key West to Fort Myers. The queues and the airline-style security took the fun out of it rather - it was not the hop-on-a-boat laissez-faire kind of experience that we were hoping for. Ferry was packed - if you do this be sure to arrive early and get checked in. Then go for a snack. Only seats left for us were outside on the top deck - it was certainly beautiful watching the sun go down and the stars come out, but after dark it was freezing and there was nothing to do except try to sleep.

The monster cruise ship in the picture was filling up the harbour - we had a great view of it as we left. It towered over the hotels and restaurants. Reminds me - Titanic in 3D should be out soon!
