Ilosaari

Another day of following lectures. Later in the evening I met a friend, his friend and his Spanish flatmate as I went to follow Team Finland's opening match against Belarus in the ice hockey world champs (Finland won 1-0) from the big screen in rock club Kerubi. After the match three of us visited pub Palaveri and finally my friend and I went to a new night club called Bailaamo, which didn't impress me very much (I'm not really a night club person anyway).

This is a view towards Ilosaari island from the eastern shore of Pielisjoki river. Karjalantalo, the building housing Kerubi rock club, can vaguely be seen behind the trees in the middle of the picture (the white and blue building, not the red one on the front left).
